摘要
概观二十世纪以来,西方汉学范畴里中国美术史研究的特点和存在的争议性问题,在詹姆斯·埃尔金斯的著作《西方美术史学中的中国山水画》中,可见他对西方汉学美术史学者的一些观点的反思与批评,对营构中国美术史的西方学者立场作具体审视,在图像分析和意蕴阐释充满张力的话语间探寻一种可供我们借鉴的路径。在本真的艺术史面前,在那种能够被称之为科学或者类型化的研究方法论之外,摸索西方范式和中国传统在一定程度上达成和解的可能。
Since the 20 th century,there have been many controversial topics in the study of Chinese art history in Western Sinology. The paper focuses on James Elkins’ s book Chinese Landscape Painting as Western Art History. It analyzes his criticism about many scholars’ viewpoints of Chinese Landscape Painting. Trying to explore those scholars’ positions,thereby thinking about between the iconology and the interpretation of Implied meaning,could we find a better way to appreciate Chinese Art? Hoping to find the reconciliation between Chinese tradition and Western pattern.
