The year 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-neighborliness,Friendship and Cooperation.Chinese President Xi Jinping held a video meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin from Beijing.The two heads of state announced and issued a joint statement,formally deciding to extend the Treaty(hereinafter referred to as the Treaty).People from all sectors of Russia said that since its signing 20 years ago,the Treaty has played an important role in promoting bilateral relations and maintaining international and regional peace and stability.The extension of the Treaty has laid a more solid foundation and injected new impetus into the long-term development of Russia-China relations.
