摘要
晚明时期,追求物欲、竞逐奢华的风气弥漫着当时整个社会,陋俗泛滥对当时的社会风气、人伦教化和社会安定造成很大危害。明清之际不少人希望发挥礼教的经世功能,从而有益于世道人心。当时的学者在批判阳明及其后学空疏、不务实际的同时,希望通过讲名物制度的礼学从而实现对学风的扭转。他们还希望通过对礼学的提倡和研究从而改变玄谈之风,而务经世致用之学。明清之际,一些持理学立场的学者推崇礼学,并从理学的角度对礼学进行阐释;一些理学官僚对礼学也加以研究和推广,他们的努力对于清代礼学的兴起起到了推动作用。
During the Ming and Qing dynasties,extravagance was prevalent in society.This social ethos did great harm to social stability.Some people hoped to save the social atmosphere through the reconstruction of etiquette.Some scholars criticized Wang Yangming and his successors’scholarship,and hoped to change the unrealistic academic atmosphere through ritual studies.Some Neo Confucianists and bureaucrats embracing Neo-Confucianism also advocated ritual studies,whose efforts played a driving role in the rise of ritual studies in the Qing dynasty.
