Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of heat shock protein 5(HSPA5)and the biological characteristics and prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:The expression level of HSPA5 in 100 NSCLC carcinomas and paracancerous tissues was detected. The biological characteristics, recurrence rate and mortality of lung cancer were analyzed. To analyze the influence of HSPA5 expression level on the biological characteristics and prognosis of NSCLC.Results:The positive expression rate, protein and mRNA expression levels of HSPA5 in NSCLC cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).The expression level of HSPA5 in NSCLC cancer tissues increased with the clinical stage, but decreased with the differentiation degree(P<0.05).The expression level of HSPA5 in cancer tissues of patients with recurrence was higher than that of patients without recurrence(P<0.05).The expression level of HSPA5 in cancer tissues of dead patients was higher than that of alive patients(P<0.05).The expression of HSPA5 in NSCLC cancer tissue significantly affected the biological characteristics and prognosis of NSCLC(P<0.05).Conclusion:HSPA5 is highly expressed in cancer tissues and is related to the biological characteristics and prognosis of NSCLC.
