摘要
晚清以来蓬勃兴起的各类报刊作为传播思想、开启民智的重要载体,反映着近代中国学术思想的构建轨迹。近代报纸刊登图书广告是一种较为普遍的商业现象,亦为展示清末民初学术思想变迁的一个维度。以清末《新民丛报》为例,发行数年间登载了大量史学类广告,具有相当之研究价值:一从归纳广告书目中体现“新史学”对传统史学的批判;二将广告词视作一种史学评议形式,分析其时代因素;三以书业广告体知近代史学的受众群体与传播特征;四是关注近代史学在民族主义浪潮下对传统史学的重新诠释,探讨其于近代转型的可能路径。
The various newspapers and magazines that have flourished since the late Qing Dynasty reflect the trajectory of the construction of modern Chinese academic thought,as important carriers for spreading ideas and opening up the people’s wisdom.The publication of book advertisements in modern newspapers is a relatively common commercial phenomenon,and it is also a dimension to show the changes of academic thought in the late Qing Dynasty and in the early Republic of China.Take the Xinmin Series in the late Qing Dynasty as an example.A large number of historical advertisements were published in the past few years,which has considerable research value.Firstly,the criticism of“new history”against traditional historiography can be found from summarizing the advertisement bibliography.Secondly,the advertising words can be taken as a form of historical review to analyze the factors of the times.Thirdly,we can discover the audience groups and communication characteristics of modern history from the book advertising.Fourthly,the possible paths of the modern transformation of traditional historiography can be explored by focusing on the reinterpretation of traditional historiography by modern historiography under the tide of nationalism.
