用于资产管理的远程低功耗射频识别标签设计

摘要 针对资产管理应用中超高频段无线射频识别系统的远距离、低功耗需求,提出了一种基于隧道二极管的5.8 GHz新型RFID标签。该标签配备了一个高增益、低功率的反射放大器。利用量子隧道效应,反射放大器可以检测到非常低的射频信号。通过偏置隧道二极管来实现长通信距离和曼彻斯特编码。实验结果表明,所实现原型样机的增益大于40 dB,且只需要29μW的偏置功率。该标签可检测非常低的RF信号(<-90 dBm),实现了距离长达23.3 m的反向散射调制和曼彻斯特编码,满足了资产管理的需求。 To solve the problem that the radio frequency identification device(RFID)system requires long distance and low power consumption in asset management applications,a new 5.8 GHz RFID tag based on tunnel diode is proposed.The tag is equipped with a reflection amplifier with high gain and low power.By using quantum tunneling effect,the realized reflective amplifier can detect very low RF signals.Long communication distance and Manchester coding are realized by biasing tunnel diode.The experiment results show that the gain of the prototype is more than 40 dB,and only 29μW bias power is needed.The tag can detect very low RF signals(<-90 dBm),realize backscattering modulation and Manchester coding up to 23.3 m distance,and effectively meet the requirements of asset management.
