摘要
《别让我走》是日裔英国作家石黑一雄的代表作。这部小说以克隆人凯茜的记忆为线索,讲述了一群克隆人的人生经历以及他们作为器官捐献者的宿命。文章采用阿尔都塞和齐泽克的意识形态理论,分析小说中人类对克隆人所进行的意识形态控制。文章认为,人类的意识形态以自在、自为和自在自为的形式发挥作用,将克隆人质询成驯服的主体,甘愿接受了捐献器官的命运。石黑一雄通过克隆人的悲剧,对身处在意识形态中的普通人表示关怀。
Never Let Me Go is a masterpiece of Kazuo Ishiguro,a Japanese-born British writer.The novel,based upon the memory of Cathy,a clone,narrates the life experience of a group of clones and their predestined fate.The paper,adopting the theories on ideology proposed by Althusser and Zizek,analyses the ideological control that humans have over the clones.The paper argues that humans’ideology,in the forms of initself,for-itself and in-and-for-itself,plays its role in interpellating the clones as submissive subjects so that they accept organ donation.It is by narrating the tragedy of the clones that Kazuo Ishiguro expresses his concern for the ordinary people influenced by ideology.
