Development of the 100 kV Square Wave Generator with Nanosecond Rise Time

摘要 为了能够在高幅值、陡上升沿的方波电压下开展特快速瞬态过电压(very fast transient overvoltage, VFTO)传感器的性能测试,研制了上升沿纳秒级、输出电压幅值最高可达100 kV的方波发生装置。首先,建立了方波发生装置的电路模型,推导了输出电压波形上升时间、波尾时间的估计式;仿真分析了脉冲电容器电容值、负载电阻、回路总电阻、回路电感对输出波形的影响;设计、研制了结构紧凑的100 kV方波发生装置,并测试了其输出性能。测试结果表明,其输出电压的上升时间<5 ns,在波尾1μs时的平顶降<1%,且重复性良好,可用于VFTO传感器的标定。 To test the performance of very fast transient overvoltage(VFTO) sensors under square wave voltage with high amplitude and steep rising edge, a square voltage generator which can produce square voltages with nanosecond rising edge and amplitude up to 100 kV was developed. Firstly, the circuit model of the square wave generator was established. The estimation formulas of the rise time and the wave tail time of the output voltage were derived. Then, the effects of the pulse capacitor, the load resistance, the total resistance and the inductance of the discharge circuit on the output waveform were analyzed by simulation. Finally, the 100 kV square wave generator with compact structure was designed and developed, and its performance was tested. The test results indicate that the rise time is shorter than 5 ns and the voltage drop on the flat top is less than 1% at 1 μs. The generator also has a good repeatability, and is suitable for the calibrations of VFTO sensors.
