摘要
图书馆、博物馆、档案馆等机构为解决"图像孤岛"而提出了国际图像互操作性框架(IIIF),已成为文化记忆机构管理图像资源的实施标准。本文采用文献调研法、案例分析法调研IIIF在GLAM机构的应用,国内机构对IIIF的应用处于初始阶段。随后梳理IIIF的基本框架,重点介绍策展API和发现API,特别是策展功能改变了现有IIIF工作流。最后从图像的规模传播、资源共享、用户体验、人文研究等方面探讨了IIIF给数字人文领域带来的变化。
International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) is developed by a community of GLAM (Galleries,Libraries,Archives and Museums) with the purpose to address the "imagesilo" issue.It has also become the implementation standard for the management of image resources in cultural heritage institutions.IIIF defines four application programming interfaces,which facilitate the integration,sharing and interoperability of image resources in multiple sources and different formats.This paper adopts literature review and case study as research methods,and introduces the framework of IIIF APIs,focusing on the curatorial API and discovery API.Curatorial function,in particular,has changed the IIIF workflow.Under the guidance of the existing technology and future development,IIIF is useful in building user-driven image sharing platform,constructing the semantic image framework,sharing large-size images and being the tools for digital humanities.
