摘要
好莱坞著名导演罗兰德·乔夫执导的1995年版电影《红字》自上映以来,其中的改编及增加内容受到国内外观众的广泛讨论。文章从后殖民主义视域出发,发现电影呈现了多元文化,对殖民主义进行了一定的揭露,但对黑人及印第安人的塑造仍摆脱不了欧洲文明中心及“白人至上”传统理念的桎梏——他们仍然是处于边缘位置的“他者”,而西方白人则继续扮演着开拓者和救赎者的角色。通过对电影进行后殖民主义解读,以期提高我们在当今世界文明文化交流中的警觉意识,倡导多元文化平等发展,防止殖民意识及文化霸权的隐形渗透。
Since the release of the 1995 film“The Scarlet Letter”directed by Roland Geoff,a famous Hollywood director,its adaptations and additions have been widely discussed by audiences at home and abroad.From the perspective of postcolonialism,this paper finds that the film presents multiculturalism and exposes colonialism to a certain extent,but the shaping of blacks and Indians still cannot get rid of the shackles of the European Civilization Center and the traditional idea of“white supremacy”—they are still the“other”on the edge,while western whites continue to play the role of pioneers and redeemers.Through the postcolonial interpretation of the film,it hopes to improve our vigilance in today’s world civilization and cultural exchanges,advocate the equal development of multi culture,and prevent the invisible infiltration of colonial consciousness and cultural hegemony.
