It is known to all that the ancient American civilization is plundered and ravaged by the earlier colonists from Spain and Portugal,as well as the later ones from Britain and France. This can be confirmed not only by the plenty of faithful historical accounts left by the colonists and the narration of those generations of mixed European and Native American ancestry, but the accusations of some missionaries and many indigenous Americans as well.As for the literature, the major focuses are mainly concentrated on the orthodox and prevalent comments in the colonies. However, the marginal, during the same period, are regarded as "heresies",which are reticent or dumped or banned. In this paper, some tentative opinions are stated about the three literary wonders in the period of colonial America, which involve Popol Vuh as the ancient legacy, "The Tenth Muse" as the "orthodoxy",and the "banned novels" as the heterodoxy.
