镁合金隔板铸件低压铸造工艺数值模拟 被引量:10

Numerical Simulation of Low Pressure Casting Process for Magnesium Alloy Plate Casting

摘要 采用铸造模拟软件EasyCast和NovaCast对镁合金隔板铸件低压铸造工艺过程进行数值模拟,发现隔板铸件凝固过程未遵循顺序凝固原则并有缩孔产生,通过添加冷铁进行工艺改进。模拟结果发现,改进前后,两款软件预测的凝固温度场基本一致,缩孔尺寸略有差异,但缩孔位置大致相同,表明模拟结果可信。结果表明,铸件厚壁部分容易产生缩孔、缩松缺陷,通过冷铁的设置,能够有效加强补缩效果,改善缩孔缺陷。 The self-developed casting simulation software EasyCast and the NovaCast software were used to simulate the low-pressure casting process of magnesium alloy partition.It was found that the solidification process of plate castings didn’t follow the principle of sequential solidification,and there existed shrinkage cavity.The process was improved by adding chiller.Before and after the improvement,the solidification temperature field predicted by the two software were basically the same.Although the size of the shrinkage cavity predicted was slightly different,the position of shrinkage cavity was roughly the same.It shows that the simulation conclusion is reliable.As a result,most of the casting thickness is prone to shrinkage cavity and porosity.Through setting chiller,the effect of shrinkage can be enhanced and shrinkage cavity can be improved.
