摘要
教育空间是学校教育制度化和现代化转向的基本维度,已有研究通常将19世纪初盛行的兰卡斯特制简化为一种教学方式,而未充分剖析其作为现代教育空间组织化重要开端的意义。通过长排课桌椅、半圆形教学站、斜面等一系列标志性建筑构件的有意设计与精心布局,兰卡斯特对教育空间进行了细致的划分与有序的重组,从而有机地整合诸多关键教育要素,将原先任意的教学场所重塑为高度组织化的教学环境。借由兰卡斯特制在全球范围内的广泛传播,该方案率先为普及教育的倡导者重构教育空间提供了一种标准化的理想校舍模型,由此拉开现代教育空间组织化的序幕。
The transition of educational spaces constitutes one basic dimension of the systematization and modernization of schooling.Since the early 19 th century,the prevailing system of the Lancasterian instruction started the process of organizing modern educational space,but current researches simply view it as a new teaching method.Through designing a series of characteristic building components(form and benches,draft circles,inclined plane etc.)and arranging them meticulously,Lancaster’s plan delicately divided the educational spaces and reorganized them orderly,which organically combined those key educational elements,and reshaped the formerly arbitrary teaching places as highly organized teaching environment.With the wide spread of Lancasterian system across the five continents,its design of schoolhouse took the lead in providing a standardized model for the promoters of popular education,and thus began the process of organizing modern educational space.
