摘要
2013年、2017年和2021年,均有全国两会代表和委员提出弱化甚至取消英语学科和英语教学的主张与建议,这种主张是错误的。在中外融合程度愈来愈高的情况下,如果英语学科的地位被降低,英语教学被弱化,既会妨碍中外交流人才的培养,又减少了众多未来劳动者应有的上升和选择机会。因此,英语学科的地位不能降低,教学不能削弱。应该改革英语学科的教学和考试工作,提升英语教学有效性,发挥英语考试应有的健康引导作用。
There have always been committee members of the CPPCC and representatives of the NPC who are always proposing to weaken English teaching or even abolish the major course status of English in 2021 as well as 2013 and 2017,which is false.With the development of merging between home and abroad,nurturing of talents who have the ability of communication between home and abroad will be hindered;and that,the ascending chances as well as promising choices of numerous futural laborers who are facing Englishdemanding skills will be greatly reduced if the status of English is lowered and English teaching is weakened.Therefore,neither can the status of English be lowered nor can English teaching be weakened.What we should do is to reform English teaching and examination,enhance the effect of English teaching and enable English examination to play its due role to lead teenage students in learning English effectively.
