Cardiovascular diseases remain to be one of the diseases with the highest morbidity and mortality in the world.HOX transcript antisense RNA(HOTAIR)is a long chain non-coding RNA with trans-transcriptional regulation, whose expression and function are closely associated with the occurrence and development of human diseases.A growing body of research has demonstrated the important role of HOTAIR in the regulation of the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases.HOTAIR may present a promising option as a new biomarker and therapeutic target of cardiovascular diseases. In the current paper,we reviewed the research progress of HOTAIR in cardiovascular diseases.
