摘要
人工智能(artificial intelligence,AI)技术与医学的结合是当前趋势,眼科学因丰富的影像资料成为研究热点。目前,关于糖尿病视网膜病变、年龄相关性黄斑变性及青光眼等常见致盲眼病已有较多AI研究,相关成果已逐步应用于临床实践,但同时面临许多挑战。就眼科及整个医疗领域而言,AI研究存在研究流程不规范、透明性及可重复性缺乏、结果报告不标准等问题,降低了AI研究的质量以及不同研究间的可比性,减缓了AI产品临床应用进程。本文概述眼部疾病AI研究现状及现存主要问题,并简要介绍当前医疗领域AI研究需遵循的标准和规范,旨在进一步规范眼科领域AI研究,促进AI技术与眼科高效结合及有效应用。
With the advent of artificial intelligence(AI)and its implication in medical field in recent years,AI in ophthalmology has been a trending topic.In case of major vision-threatening diseases,like diabetic retinopathy,glaucoma,and age-related macular degeneration,AI-related researches have emerged expansively.Despite much promising research currently being undertaken,general issues exist,like being lack of transparency,clear reporting to facilitate replicability,and clear demonstrations of effectiveness.This article described the challenges and unmet needs for AI application in major eye diseases and the common conditions in the field,and additionally introduced guidelines to regulate AI researches in ophthalmology and health care.
