Objective To explore the clinical effect of sodium nitroprusside in rescue treatment of acute left heart failure. Methods 100 cases of patients with acute left heart failure in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were retrospectively selected.According to the rescue treatment methods, they were divided into routine treatment group(routine treatment)and sodium nitroprusside treatment group(sodium nitroprusside treatment based on routine treatment group),with 50 cases in each group. The heart rates, cardiac functions, clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were statistically analyzed between the two groups. Results After treatment, heart rate, left ventricular end systolic diameter, left ventricular end diastolic diameter and left ventricular ejection fraction of the sodium nitroprusside treatment group were significantly better than the routine treatment group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the sodium nitroprusside treatment group was 92.0%(46/50),which was significantly higher than 80.0%(40/50)in the routine treatment group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.0%(3/50)in the sodium nitroprusside treatment group and 6.0%(3/50)in the routine treatment group, there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion Sodium nitroprusside is effective in the treatment of acute left heart failure.
