《边城》和《魔沼》中的大自然充满了诗情画意的色彩,两部作品都洋溢着乌托邦式的梦幻情调,是一曲田园牧歌。《边城》中的女主人公翠翠和《魔沼》中的女主人公小玛丽,她们更是自然之美的化身,不仅拥有清纯可人的外貌和质朴纯粹的自然人性,而且在选择爱情时都摒弃了世俗的观念。这些体现了沈从文和乔治·桑在塑造女性形象上共同的审美追求。
Nature in Border Town and Magic Marsh is full of poetic and picturesque color,and both works are permeated with utopian dreamy on sentiment.Cui-Cui,the heroine in Border Town,and Little Mary,the heroine in Magic Marsh are the embodiment of natural beauty.They not only have pure and lovely appearance and simple and pure natural humanity,but also choose love because they abandon the secular concept.All these reflect the common aesthetic pursuit of Shen Cong-wen and George Sang in shaping female images.
