The exhibition"Impossible Architecture"(2019-2020)as curated by the author, travelled to four art museums across Japan, which was attended by fans of science fiction and other subcultures as well as nonarchitectural professionals. The idea of exhibition was derived from Zaha Hadid’s first place design in the competition of the New National Stadium of Japan, which was turned into a cancelled end before construction due to some political considerations. The exhibition begins with Russian Constructivism at the beginning of the 20 th century and moves on to Giuseppe Terragni,Archigram,Arata Isozaki,Daniel Libeskind and Rem Koolhaas, etc.,presenting their architecture projects unable to build for various reasons. These are projects that, even if they were unbuilt, have had a great impact on the field of architecture since then, and should be discussed with the history of the built projects to be called"another history of architecture".These unbuilt buildings, which are only on drawings, are ideal for exhibition because they can be presented on site with the original materials, unlike architectural exhibitions where physical objects cannot usually be shown. In another way,the unbuilt projects presented in contemporary art are also significant for their freedom of thought.
