摘要
讨论“为什么研究日常生活史”,有助于从研究动机层面梳理日常生活史研究范式的内在理路。在反思二战后西方社会所面临的现代性悖论的基础上,西方学界出现了以法国哲学、社会学界的“日常生活批判”,以及德国史学界的“日常生活史”为代表的日常生活研究。由于理论关怀的不同,西方史学界新文化史与日常生活史研究范式有较大区别。21世纪初,日常生活史研究范式经译介进入中国大陆,其“以人为核心”“总体史”的研究取向,因应了国内史学研究克服“泛文化”“碎片化”倾向的需要。当下中国日常生活正经历深刻变革,大众有从历史层面思考日常生活意义的需求,同时中国史学研究范式也有更新的内在需要,故此有必要加强日常生活史研究。
“Why do we study the history of everyday life?”To discuss this question,it helps to explain the internal logic of life as a paradigm in historical studies with regard to the research motivation.In reflecting upon the paradox of modernity faced by Western society after World War II,the study of everyday life has appeared in Western academia represented by a trend in French philosophy,“critique of everyday life”in sociology,and“history of everyday life”(Alltagsgeschichte)in German historiography.Out of different theoretical concerns,new cultural history and everyday life history as research paradigms have great differences in the West.In the early twentieth-first century,the paradigm of everyday life history was introduced into China's Mainland via translation.Its“human centered”approach and“holistic view”speak to the growing need to overcome the fallacies of“cultural essentialism”and“fragmentation”in Chinese historiography.As the everyday life of Chinese people is undergoing profound changes now,the public need to think about the significance of everyday life from the perspective of history.The history of everyday life is welcome in China,also because the research paradigm of Chinese history calls for innovation and creativity.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the study in this area.
