摘要
The ion beams extracted from an Electron Cyclotron Resonance(ECR)ion source always experience strong transverse coupling effect that is caused by the field of the axial mirror fields and the extraction solenoid.A Pepper Pot probe[1]has been developed and used to obtain the full four-dimensional(4D)phase space distribution of the low energy beam extracted from an ECR ion source at IMP.The first image of O5+beam captured by the Pepper Pot probe is shown in Fig.1.As one can see that the adjacent exposure spots on the KBr scintillator were separated from each other very well, while they were overlapped on a CsI scintillator in our previous experiments, which means that the KBr is more appropriate for imaging beamlets.
