摘要 人类及其他一切哺乳动物不仅热血恒温、心肺脑髓与脊椎完备,更主要的特征是以乳房哺乳养子。离开乳汁的滋养,没有产子存活长大者。全球每年仅牛奶产量与消费量就高达10亿吨。那么,乳汁是如何生成的呢?西医根据解剖、组织细胞与生理学发现,认为乳汁的分泌与排出取决于产妇乳腺受神经内分泌体液调节与新生儿吸吮刺激反射。因此,任何突然中断妊娠与哺乳的行为都可能影响到乳房的健康。由于产妇哺乳期常常停经数月,中医认为血乳同源,乳汁为经血所化。因此,分娩时失血过多,产妇气血不足,势必影响哺乳。由于哺乳行为如此完善、常见和普遍,有古人认为乳汁是慈心所化。慈心化乳、经血化乳、乳房泌乳,三种学说,相得益彰,源远流长。 The most characteristic hallmark of human beings and other mammals is breastfeeding rather than warm-bloodness(homeothermic regulator)and well-formed heart,lung,brain,spinal cord,and backbone.None of newborns can survive for development and growth without the necessary nutrition from breast milk.The annual production and consumption of cow’s milk worldwide outnumbers one billion tons.Then,how is breast milk produced?Based on the findings from anatomical,histological,cellular and physiological observations,the western medicine attributes breast milk secretion and excretion to maternal neuroendocrine hormonal regulation and neonatal suckling stimulation.Therefore,sudden termination of pregnancy by means of induced abortion and discontinued breastfeeding because of returning to work might have adverse effects on breast health.Based on the consistent finding of amenorrhea occurring in the lactation period,the Chinese medicine champions the theory that breast milk is transformed from circulatory blood due to the common origin of the two kinds of body fluid.Hence,breastfeeding could be largely compromised due to too much blood loss during childbirth or too little maternal qi-xue.Breastfeeding is so common and perfect.Some ancestors believed that milk was indeed a kindhearted production.The kindhearted milk,the blood-transformed milk,and the breast-secreted milk are likely the three history-proven mainstay theories complementarily illustrating how milk is produced.
