摘要
文章以柳州开元寺大雄宝殿复建工程为例,阐明当代佛教建筑的演变必然会受到佛教自身发展需求的影响,以及由于现代建筑材料的发展和建造技术进步等内外因素的推动,佛教建筑的更新设计也应当与时俱进、满足各种发展与进步的要求。该案例提供一种应对当代佛教建筑设计新趋势下的解决方案。它将唐代佛教建筑深入人心的传统形象在当代设计语境下予以再现,通过运用现代木结构建筑技术和胶合木等新型材料创造出适应当代佛教礼仪需要的超大型建筑空间,为当代宗教建筑的发展做出了有益探索。
With the reconstruction case of the main hall of Liuzhou’s Kaiyuan Temple,this article illustrates that contemporary Buddhist architecture is necessarily influenced by several factors,including the development of Buddhism,the advancement of architectural materials and construction technology.Correspondingly,it argues that design should keep up with the times and satisfy new requirements.It thus proposes that the Kaiyuan Temple serve as a precedent for meeting these challenges.The project remade the popularly cherished traditional form of Tang Dynasty Buddhist architecture in the context of contemporary design.Through the use of modern timber structural architectural technology and glulam(glued laminated timber),it created a new architectural space well suited for the modern development of Buddhist rituals.The project represents a significant contribution towards the development of contemporary religious architecture.
