摘要
经过半个多世纪的推广和发展,终身教育现已成为国际社会和学界公认的重要教育理念,亦是各国在制定本国教育方针、政策或构建教育体系时的重要依据和目标。中国因历史原因,现代终身教育理念的导入和展开均比先进国家推迟了约20年的时间。但就终身教育的前身———校外教育活动的开展而言,却早在清末民初即已形成。当时的通俗教育、社会教育、民众教育、平民教育、乡村教育、职业教育等从某种意义上即可看做是现代中国终身教育的雏形。对上述中国终身教育发展历史的回顾,可以进一步明晰中国终身教育的本土特征,并由此把握未来终身教育的发展方向。
After more than half a century of promotion and development,lifelong education has now become an important educational concept recognized by both the international community and academia,it is also an important basis and goal for the government to formulate their own educational policies or build the educational systems.Due to historical reasons,the introduction and development of modern lifelong education concepts in China have been delayed by about 20 years compared with advanced countries.However,as far as the development of out-of-school education activities,the predecessor of lifelong education,has been formed as early as the end of Qing dynasty and early republic.At that time,mass education,social education,popular education,civilian education,rural education,vocational education,etc.can be seen as the embryonic form of lifelong education in modern China in a sense.The review of the development history of lifelong education in China can further clarify the local characteristics of lifelong education in China,and thus grasp the development direction of lifelong education in the future.
