摘要
文章在阐释学视阈下,对中国文化核心词"天"之源流进行了考察,运用语料库的方法对《诗经》及理雅各(James Legge)译本中"天"的翻译进行了定性与定量分析,并对"天"翻译的影响因素进行了探究。研究发现:《诗经》中"天"的表达形式多样,内涵丰富。理雅各对"天"的翻译绝不仅仅是语言之间的简单转换,而是受到传统因素——合儒传教、时代因素——传教使命、个人因素——非国教宗教信仰等诸多因素的影响和制约,其"中西融通"的理念对当今中国文化"走出去"具有一定的启示意义。
Based on the investigation of the origin of"Tian",this paper attempts to explore the translation of"Tian"in Shijing(The Book of Poetry)and James Legge’s translated version with a corpus from the perspective of hermeneutics.The purpose is to reveal the external factors in the translation of"Tian".The findings are as follows:The expression of"Tian"in Shijing(The Book of Poetry)is diverse and rich in connotation.Legge’s translation of"Tian"is not just a simple conversion between languages,but is influenced by varied factors such as tradition-adapting Confucianism,history-missionary mission and individual-non-conformism faith.His syncretic attitude has implications for promoting traditional Chinese culture worldwide.
