Objective To explore the significance of continuous quality improvement(CQI)in hospital infection management. Methods 200 patients and 75 medical staff before the implementation of CQI management measures from January 2014 to December 2016,and 200 patients and 98 medical and nursing personnel after the implementation of CQI management measures from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected for comparative study, and the incidence of hospital infection, the incidence of needle stick injury of medical staff and the qualified rate of medical operation before and after the implementation of CQI management measures were compared. Results The nosocomial infection rate after implementation(2.00%)was lower than that before implementation(6.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of needle stick injury after implementation(0.00%)was lower than that before implementation(4.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The pass rate of medical operation after implementation(98.98%)was higher than that before implementation(93.33%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion CQI concept can reduce the hospital infection rate and acupuncture incidence rate of medical staff, improve the qualified rate of medical operation, and create a more comfortable and safe diagnosis and treatment environment and working environment for patients and medical staff.
