摘要
埃利·威赛尔的《耶路撒冷乞丐》的空间叙事从内容上看主要包括对耶路撒冷物理空间和幸存者心理空间的书写。就形式而言,它运用叙事时间空间化、叙事进程空间并置等策略,表达传统现实主义无法再现的大屠杀创伤。小说的空间叙事表明,创伤主体通过私人经验的脱域,将个人灾难化为与所有人共通的真相,或能达到言说不可言说的创伤的目的。
This paper aims to analyze the spatial features of A Beggar in Jerusalem by Elie Wiesel from both its content and form.In terms of content,the physical space of Jerusalem and its met⁃aphor as well as the psychological spaces of a Holocaust survivor are represented.As far as the frame is concerned,spatialization of time and parallelization of places are frequently used to present the Holocaust trauma in a way the realistic literature cannot.Through disembedding of private experience,the subject of personal tragedy may be universalized,making it possible to reveal the unspeakable trauma.
