The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk status of bamboo and wood tableware in China through the analysis of the test results of bamboo and wood tableware circulating on the market, and the analysis of the test results according to the relevant international and national standards. Also, this study provides theoretical basis for establishing risk prevention measures and optimizing current standards.Method:The monitoring was tested by five indicators:sulphur dioxide, formaldehyde emissions, trichlorophenol, pentachlorophenol and bromonitron.(sulfur dioxide is the national standard, the last four are the reference standards of the European Union). This risk analysis has 600 batches of samples nationwide, mainly including three fields:physicochemical, optical spectroscopy and liquid phases.Result:The monitoring found 13 batches of problem samples, the problem detection rate is 2.2.Among them, sulfur dioxide problem 11 batches, formaldehyde problem 2 batches.A maximum detection of sulphur dioxide is 1955mg/kg,which is 3.3 times than standard requirement.A maximum detection value of formaldehyde is 55 mg/kg,3.6 times than limited reference 15mg/kg.Conclusion:The excess of sulfur dioxide and formaldehyde in bamboo and wood tableware circulating in the domestic market may have harmful effects on consumers'health.Sulfur dioxide is a serious exceeding the standard, which should be paid attention to.
