Analysis on the performance of a tungsten-based high density alloy fastener

摘要 本文以紧固件用93W-5Ni-2Fe钨合金为研究对象,针对成品测试过程中出现的某批次产品力学性能偏低的情况进行分析验证,为后续钨合金紧固件的失效分析及质量控制提供参考依据。试验结果表明:烧结温度过高是造成钨合金材料性能偏低的根本原因,由此导致组织内部钨颗粒异常长大、组织不均匀、粘结层变厚及材料抗拉强度下降。钨合金试样的断裂以钨-钨界面分离为主,是典型脆性断裂。 93 W-5 Ni-2 Fe tungsten alloy for fasteners was taken as the research object.The low mechanical properties of products in the process of product testing were analyzed and verified,providing reference for failure analysis and quality control of tungsten alloy fasteners.The results show that the high sintering temperature is the fundamental reason for the low properties of tungsten alloy.As a result,the tungsten particles grow abnormally,the microstructure is not uniform,the bonding layer becomes thicker and the tensile strength of the material decreases.The fracture of tungsten alloy is mainly caused by the W-W interface separation,which is a typical brittle fracture.
