摘要
19世纪末20世纪初,欧洲的雕塑艺术在现代主义的浪潮中走向了形式语言的探索,逐渐呈现多元化风格。梅斯特罗维奇是南斯拉夫和克罗地亚的雕塑家,被誉为文艺复兴后从事宗教主题创作最伟大的雕塑家。梅斯特罗维奇受罗丹影响,强调自然主义,在雕塑语言的不断提炼中尝试将印象派绘画理论应用于雕塑之中,并接受了当时的新艺术原则。梅斯特罗维奇将创作大量头像雕塑的形式语言应用于英雄题材的纪念碑雕塑和宗教题材雕塑之中,用平凡人的情感和命运注入这类雕塑,在崇高中多了一些自然的温度,从而获得了不同于传统雕塑艺术样式。
In the late 19th Century and early 20th Century,the European sculpture,amidst the modernist trend,started to explore the form language and displayed the diverse styles.Ivan Mestrovic is a sculptor from Yugoslavia and Croatia,known as the greatest sculptor specializing in the religious themes since the Renaissance.Influenced by Rodin,Mestrovic highlights the naturalism,attempts to apply the impressionist painting theories into sculpture creations,and adopts the new artistic principles then.He uses the form language of head sculptures to create the hero-themed monumental sculptures and the religious sculptures.The feelings and destiny of the common make these lofty sculptures accessible and different from the traditional sculptures.
