摘要
以叙事理论为基础,以弗洛伊德的死亡本能理论为学术资源,以劳伦斯小说为文本分析对象,试图探索劳伦斯小说中的死亡叙事。劳伦斯在小说中通过灵活多变的叙述视角、自由间接引语的巧妙运用、借用隐喻象征手法等叙事策略,从一系列的死亡意象隐喻出发,上升到死亡人物群像,从而凸显死亡的叙事功能。运用弗洛伊德的本能理论探索劳伦斯小说中的死亡叙事,不仅能揭示作品主人公沉重的肉身与虚无的灵魂折射出来的生存困境与心理困惑,还能深入挖掘死亡的社会文化隐喻,给现代文明提供反思。
Based on the narrative theory,this paper takes Freud′s theory of death instinct as the academic resource and Lawrence′s novels as the text analysis object,trying to explore the death narrative in Lawrence′s novels.Through narrative strategies such as flexible narrative perspective,skillful use of free indirect language,and the use of metaphor and symbolism,Lawrence rose from a series of death image metaphors to the images of death figures,thus highlighting the narrative function of death.Using Freud′s theory of death instinct to explore the narration of death in Lawrence′s novels can not only reveal the living predicament and perplexity reflected by the protagonist′s heavy body and nihilistic soul,but also dig deep into the social and cultural metaphor of death,and more importantly,provide reflection for modern civilization.
