摘要
关系民族志作为一种理论范式的提出与发起,与20世纪中后期的哲学思潮和社会理论转向紧密相关。随着当下多点民族志、合作民族志、多物种民族志的兴起,越来越多的民族志工作者意识到我们无法固定地、单一地进行文化和社会的民族志书写。全球化时代更需要一种跨地域、多维度的关系思维,才能真正实现民族志对于整体性的把握。文章对关系民族志的概念、理论背景、范式类型以及书写策略进行了综合梳理与分析,并指出:理论上,关系民族志重新赋予了传统民族志新内涵,是对本质主义、结构主义与二元论的批判;方法上,关系民族志既能以小见大,以点带面,又能消解地域与空间的局限,赋予研究主题更为广阔的全球化视野,以及多学科之间整体性与公共性的合作与关联。在以时空压缩、文化杂糅、资本流动、利益关联为主要特征的全球化时代,关系民族志无疑是世界体系下研究复杂社会与文化越来越重要的路径与方法,身赋学术使命并具较强现实意义。
The emergence of relational ethnography as a theoretical paradigm is closely related to the trend of philosophical thoughts and social theories in the middle and late 20th century.With the rise of multi-point ethnography,cooperative ethnography and multi-species ethnography,more and more ethnographers have realized that we cannot write about culture and society in a fixed and single way.In the era of globalization,we need a cross-regional and multi-dimensional relational thinking in order to reach the holism of ethnography.This article comprehensively outlines and analyzes the concept,theoretical background,paradigms,and writing strategies of relational ethnography,and reveals the following points:theoretically,relational ethnography has given new connotations to traditional ethnography,which is a critique of essentialism,structuralism,dualism;methodologically,relational ethnography can not only reveal the whole through an analysis of the fragments,but also eliminate the regional and spatial limitations,giving the ethnographical research a broader global perspective as well as multidisciplinary cooperation and holistic relationality.In the era of globalization,which is characterized by time-space compression,cultural hybrid,capital flow,and interest correlation,relationship ethnography is undoubtedly an increasingly important approach and method for studying complex societies and cultures in the world system,with clear academic missions and practical significance.
