The novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS・CoV-2)has been prevalent for nearly two months.The first case of COVID-19 was reported in Wuhan,Hubei Province,China in mid-December,2019.On January 9,2020,Chinese scientists isolated and obtained the genome sequence of the new virus;they shared the genome information on releva nt international websites one day later.
