摘要
麦克斯·缪勒提出的“比较宗教学”试图对不同宗教进行不偏不倚、真正科学的比较,从而使宗教研究跳出西方神学的桎梏,逐步发展为一门跨文化的具有交叉性和综合性的现代学科。另一方面,经过近一个半世纪的蓬勃发展,宗教比较研究逐渐进入到宗教对话的实践,形成了排他论、兼并论和多元论等不同的对话观。比较神学在某种程度上仍然植根于某一宗教传统的特定立场,通过开放与委身将其他宗教作为丰富和更新自身宗教传统的资源。回到对宗教进行比较研究的初衷,通过引入现代科学的概念在不同宗教间进行比较,既能保证宗教比较的客观性和中立性,又能保持对不同宗教传统的欣赏与尊重。
The comparative religion proposed by Max Müller attempted to make an impartial and truly scientific comparison of different religions that would allow studies of religion to throw off the fetters of Western theology and become a cross-cultural,interdisciplinary and comprehensive modern discipline.After nearly a century and a half of vigorous development,comparative religion has moved on to the practice of religious dialogue,giving rise to different views of dialogue such as exclusivism,syncretism and pluralism.To a certain extent,comparative theology is still rooted in the specific position of certain religious traditions which use opening and commitment to enlist other religions as resources to enrich and update their own religious traditions.The original intention of the comparative study of religions was not only to ensure the objectivity and neutrality of religious comparisons,but also maintain appreciation and respect for different religious traditions by introducing modern scientific concepts.
