The digital inclusive finance based on Internet technology is closely related to the consumption of rural residents, and the effect of digital inclusive finance on the consumption of rural residents is heterogeneous.Affected by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, digital inclusive finance has played a predominant advantage, enabling rural remote residents to enjoy convenient consumption services.Based on the actual situation of China,by collecting the data of digital inclusive financial index and consumption level of rural residents in 31 provinces(autonomous regions)in 2014—2018,a provincial panel model is constructed for empirical analysis. The results show that:(1)digital inclusive finance can affect rural residents'consumption by alleviating income and liquidity constraints and smoothing mobile payment;(2)based on the overall perspective of the whole country, digital inclusive inance has a significant positive impact on the consumption level of rural residents in China, but the degree of impact varies in different regions;(3)digital inclusive finance can significantly promote transportation and communications, health care and other consumption. Finally, some relevant suggestions are put forward in order to further promote the development of digital inclusive finance, promote rural residents'consumption and promote economic growth.
