Objective:To explore the effect of different treatment schemes on the level of sex hormone in male patients with chronic congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods:80 male CHF patients admitted to our hospital from December 2017 to May 2019 were included in the study.According to the admission order, patients were divided into control group(n=40)and observation group(n=40).Control group were treated with metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets and conventional treatment scheme, such as cardiotonic measures, diuretic measures, vasodilator and oxygen inhalation, while the observation group were treated with additional recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide on that basis. The serum estradiol(E 2)and testosterone(T)levels before and after treatment were recorded and compared between groups. Results:Compare with the control group, the level of serum E 2 in the observation group was significantly lower, while the level of serum T was significantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the treatment scheme with metoprolol alone, recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide combined with metoprolol can improve the testosterone level and reduce the estradiol level in men with chronic congestive heart failure, which is beneficial for alleviating the disease and has high clinical value.
