摘要
在W H 奥登的诗歌中,滑稽与崇高两种美学范畴往往被并置,且在文中占据重要地位。通过文本细读分析此种并置情况,认为奥登使诗歌中滑稽与崇高处于一种转化关系,进而引用康德的“乖讹说”、利奥塔的“崇高论”,以及奥登本人的相关理论分析奥登诗歌,认为在奥登的观念中,滑稽是一种期待滑入了虚无的情况,而崇高是在虚无之中产生期待的感受,滑稽与崇高的相容或曰转化的可能性,事实上正是“期待”与“虚无”两种状态的切换提供的。由此,奥登使滑稽与崇高成为一体的两面,进而得以在现代语境下因时制宜拓展传统美学范畴内涵。
In W.H.Auden’s poems,two aesthetic categories,comic and sublime,are often juxtaposed which occupy an important position in the text.This paper analyzes this juxtaposition through close reading of the text,and holds that Auden makes the comic and the sublime in the poetry in a transformation relationship,and then analyzes Auden’s poetry by quoting Kant’s“incongruity theory”,“Lyotard’s sublimity theory”,and Auden’s own relevant theories,and holds that in Auden’s concept,the comic is a situation in which expectation slips into nothingness,while the sublime is in the middle of nothingness.In fact,it is the switch between“expectation”and“nothingness”that provides the feeling of expectation,the possibility of compatibility or transformation between comic and sublime.Thus,Auden makes the comic and sublime become two sides of the same body,and then expands the connotation of the traditional aesthetic category according to the situation in the modern context.
