Taking flood disaster risk as the research object, the related literature of the web of science core database from 1999 to 2018 are analyzed with the Citespace tool, and the distribution characteristics and research hotspot distribution law are summarized. The results show that the research hotspots of flood disaster risk research show the space-time evolution path as: disaster integration-climate change-safety management-social ecology-urban complexity science. The research topics include Disaster Cognitive Research, Theoretical and Technological Research and Typical Regional Research.Based on the existing analysis, the future research directions of flood disaster risk are forecasted.Theoretical and technological exploration will focus on "refine + adaptive" design;the connotation of the research system will be transformed from disaster cognitive evaluation to " Go Beyond Engineering " disaster resilience system, and the focus of the research will be transformed from dealing with and managing knew specific risks to more flexible adaptation and recovery processes, presenting a "regional-urban-community(scale) "and "social-natural-economic(perspective)".Finally, it is pointed out that future research should focus on building a unified standard method system supported by multiple data, and an organic interconnected and comprehensive disaster-resilient network system.
