摘要
晚近学术界较为关注吴宓的翻译思想及其翻译实践,其中包括西方翻译思想对吴宓翻译思想的形成与发展的影响。本文拟探讨吴宓对歌德的翻译思想及威廉施莱格尔的翻译实践的接受。根据歌德的翻译思想,以及吴宓对施莱格尔翻译工作的评价,就可译与不可译、翻译的价值、翻译的方法、及诗歌翻译这四个问题,讨论德国翻译家的影响与吴宓的翻译思想之间的关系。
Recent researches have paid more attention to Wu Mi’s thoughts on translation and his translation practices,including the influence of Western translation theories on their formation and development.The paper intends to explore Wu Mi’s reception of Goethe’s translation thoughts and Wilhelm Schlegel’s translations.On the basis of Goethe’s translation thoughts,and Wu Mi’s evaluation of Schlegel’s translation practice,the discussion mainly focuses on the relationship between the the influence of German translators and Wu Mi’s translation thoughts by the following four issues:(un)translatability,the importance of translation,translation methods,and translation of poetry.
