摘要
在全民抗战的背景下,南岳佛教遵循"慈悲为怀、普度众生"的教理,秉承"上马杀贼,下马学佛"的理念,通过思想、文化和社会动员为抗战贡献力量。他们以佛教思想宣传抗战理论,通过创办刊物、兴办教育促进抗战期间文教事业的发展,组织抗战团体进行抗战救亡活动。于此,南岳佛教大大提升了其社会影响力,获得政府以及诸多民众的关注和好感。
Under the background of the Anti-Japanese War, the Buddhism of Nanyue followed the teaching principle of "compassion for the mind and universal support for all living beings" and adhered to the concept of "mount the horse to kill the thief and descend the horse to learn Buddhism". They contributed to the Anti-Japanese War through ideological, cultural and social mobilization. They propagated the theory of Anti-Japanese War with Buddhism thought. What is more, they promoted the development of culture and education during the Anti-Japanese War through the establishment of periodicals and education, and organized groups to carry out activities and national salvation. Because of these, Buddhism in Nanyue greatly enhanced its social influence, and won attention and affection of the society.
