Circulating microparticles(cMPs) are vesicle-like structures with a diameter of 0.1-1.0 μm, which are produced by cells after activation or apoptosis. The levels of circulating microparticles are elevated in many cardiovascular diseases. Its elevation in plasma is considered a biological marker of altered vascular function. This review aims to summarize and provide the latest research progress on the role of circulating microparticles in the mechanism of acute coronary syndrome thrombosis.
