摘要
石狗成为雷州先民奉祀和崇拜的对象,原因可从四个方面考察:石材取得的便利和石雕技术的掌握、石崇拜观念的深刻影响、石头这种媒介用于特定对象艺术创造时能呈现相适合的审美特质、石狗的形态更能体现御敌护佑的神狗职能,从而构筑崇高威严的神狗形象。随着南方少数民族的迁徙融合,苗、瑶、壮、畲等族的盘瓠神话融合到雷州的石狗崇拜中,是雷州崇狗文化内容的一个重大变化。中原华夏族人的南迁入粤,又极大地改变了古雷州的崇狗思想和石狗文化,雷祖陈文玉的传说是石狗崇拜思想的映射。当汉族文化成为主流,雷州本土的崇狗意识和石狗崇拜不可避免地弱化了。
The reasons for stone dogs to become the object of sacrifice and worship of Leizhou ancestors can be explored from four aspects:the convenient acquisition of stone materials and the mastery of stone carving technology,the profound influence of stone worship concept,the appropriate aesthetic characteristics when stone is used in specific artistic creation,and the defensive and protective function of god dog suitable to be realized in the form of stone dogs,so as to create its respectable and awe-inspiring image.With the migration and amalgamation of southern minority nationalities,Panhu myth of ethnic groups like Miao,Yao,Zhuang and She,merged into the worship of stone dogs in Leizhou,which is a significant change in the cultural content of dog worship in Leizhou.At the beginning of the Western Zhou Dynasty,as Huaxia people moved south into Guangdong from the central plains,the dog worship thought and stone dog culture in ancient Leizhou greatly changed.The legend of Leizu Chen Wenyu is a reflection of dog worship and stone dog culture.As the Han nationality culture became the mainstream,the local Leizhou dog worship concept and stone dog worship has weakened unavoidably.
