摘要
文章提出了一种基于左手耦合线的太赫兹前向耦合器的设计。通过左手耦合线的散射矩阵转换得到其ABCD矩阵参数,利用周期Bloch-Floquet边界条件,从ABCD矩阵萃取得到其特性参数。文章分析了不同电容和电感值构成的左手耦合线。所设计的前向耦合器c-mode和π-mode的相位传播常数存在较大的差值,为前向耦合器的小型化设计提供了可行性。左手耦合线和前向耦合器均基于标准的CMOS 0.13μm 1P8M工艺下线并进行测试。所设计的前向耦合器工作频率为390GHz时,前向耦合量>10dB,设计尺寸仅为44μm(0.12λg)。
A compact forward coupler using the left-handed coupled-line is proposed.Through the Bloch-Floquet periodic boundary condition,the left-handed coupled-line characteristic parameters are extracted based on ABCD-parameters converted from scattering parameters.The left-handed coupled lines constructed by different capacitors and inductors are analyzed in this paper.The proposed forward coupler can provide considerable phase difference between the c andπmodes.Therefore,a compact forward coupler can be expected.The left-handed coupled-line and forward coupler are all fabricated in standard 0.13μm CMOS 1P8M technology.The forward coupling level over-10 dB can be measured at 390 GHz with the length 44μm(0.12λg at 390 GHz).
