摘要
韩槐准是民国时期古代南洋研究领域建树颇丰的学者,在古外销瓷、中国与南洋间物产考订、中国南洋交通史等领域撰述了大量成果。他是中国学术界古外销瓷研究的开拓者,为后世学术界搭建了研究框架。韩槐准革新了民国时期中国与南洋间名物考订研究的“陈旧方法”。他独出心裁地以海南岛为切入点来研究中国南洋交通史,科学地证明了史前我国已与南洋交通的观点。
Han Wai Toon,a prolific scholar in the Republic of China,was known for his great achievements in ancient Nanyang studies,especially studies on ancient export ceramics,identification of products from China and Nanyang,and overseas communication between China and Nanyang,etc.He is regarded as a Chinese pioneer in the study of ancient export ceramics,who provided the framework of research for later scholars.He also improved the method of identifying products from China and Nanyang during the period of the Republic of China.And he was the first to study the history of maritime contacts between China and Nanyang,based on his study of the history of Hainan Island.He showed that during prehistoric times China had already established contacts with Nanyang.
