摘要
英国著名音乐学家、音乐理论家尼古拉斯·库克教授在《音乐分析指南》一书第八章“奏鸣曲式分析”中,通过对两对奏鸣曲式作品的分析,来说明奏鸣曲式的基本原理以及在面对标准范式和非标准范式的分析中所遇到的问题。库克提出,奏鸣曲式的标准范式在每一部作品中都是形态各异的,分析中切不可仅以得出一般的曲式结论为目的,而应更重视解释那些表面上偏离了标准范式的作品之所以仍被视为奏鸣曲式的原因。文章围绕库克在书中的一些重要论述进行解读,并通过相关例证,思考奏鸣曲式分析中存在的问题。
Professor Nicholas Cook,a famous British musicologist and music theorist,explained the basic principles of Sonata form and the problems encountered in the analysis of standard and non-standard paradigms through the analysis of two pairs of compositions in sonata form in Chapter 8"Analysis of Sonata Form"of his book A Guide to Musical Analysis.Cook pointed out that the standard paradigm of sonata form is different in every work and the purpose of analysis should not be drawing the general conclusion of the form only.On the contrary,more attention should be paid to the explanation of the reasons why those works which appear to deviate from the standard paradigm are still regarded as sonata form.This paper interprets Cook’s important statements in his book,and through relevant examples,ponders the problems existing in the analysis of sonata form.
