Objective To investigate the comparison between pulsed epidural administration and continuous background infusion for painless delivery. Methods 100 cases of the hospital were randomly selected from January to June 1818 for painless delivery.Continuous background group was treated with continuous background infusion, and pulsed epidural group was treated with pulsed epidural. Then the results were Compared. Results The efficacy of the pulsed epidural group was 100.00%higher than that of the continuous background group 84.00%(χ^2=7.834,P<0.05).The visual simulated pain level one hour after analgesia and three hours after analgesia in the pulsed epidural group was lower than that in the continuous background group(P<0.05)The Apgar score for neonates in the pulsed epidural group was(9.11±1.22)points,while the Apgar score for neonates in the continuous background group was(﹙8.54±1.12)points.The number of oxytocin used in the pulsed epidural group was less than that in the continuous background group(χ^2=693,P<0.05),of which 14 patients in the continuous background group used oxytocin, while 2 patients in the pulsed epidural group used oxytocin. Conclusion Pulsed epidural administration has a good effect on painless delivery, which can effectively reduce labor pain, shorten the labor process, reduce the use of oxytocin, improve the prognosis of newborns and reduce postpartum hemorrhage.
