摘要
托尔金的《指环王》回归20世纪以前的写作传统和审美情趣,以史诗的笔调再现英雄主义与善恶冲突等严肃主题,重建缺失的民族文化记忆,契合了现代人面对精神困境时的文化诉求,这也正是二战之后“奇幻文学”受到流行文化追捧的重要原因。
J.R.R.Tolkien retrieved the writing tradition and aesthetic taste before the 20th century,reenacted the serious themes such as heroism and the conflict between good and evil with the epic style,rebuilt the missing national cultural memory,conformed to the cultural requirements of modern people when they faced the spiritual dilemma,which was the important reason why“fantasy literature”was sought after by popular culture after the Second World War.
