摘要
文章关注的是共享单车市场效率问题。通过观察和经验数据分析,作者确认具有排他性但非竞争性的共享单车,实为一种低档品;实际上本身就产生缩减共享群体规模削弱骑行需求的作用,使得市场需求无法平衡规模供给,导致市场严重过剩。通过提供共享单车使用中产生负外部性证据,文章还指出在负外部性作用下社会边际成本肯定超过企业边际成本,其结果让社会福利遭受了损失。最后,就政府如何有所作为解决市场无效率问题的一些建议,文章进行了讨论。
This paper focuses on the issue about how the characteristics of shared bicycles affect market efficiency. Through observation and analysis of empirical data, the author argues that the shared bicycle,excludable but not competitive, has the attribute of inferior goods. In reality, it alone generates power to diminish sharing group size and weaken the demand for bicycle riding, leading to the failure of the demands to balance the scale supplies and serious market surplus. Furthermore, this paper provides evidences that the negative externalities from the use of shared bicycles can raise marginal social cost substantially beyond marginal firm cost so that society suffers the loss of social welfare. In the end, the paper discusses some practicable proposals on how the government should take measures to solve the market inefficient problems.
