Objective:To explore the syndrome, syndrome elements and combination of syndrome elements of subacute thyroiditis(SAT).Methods:A syndrome element analysis method was used to search Academic Journal Database of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),and to review all the journals from November 2008 to November 2018.The syndrome elements were drawn from 1037 cases of SAT patients in 28 journal articles meeting the research criteria. These elements were classified, merged, summarized and position-targeted to reveal the rules of the SAT's combination of syndrome elements. Results:In 1037 cases,8 syndrome elements were classified, including 783 cases of excess heat(46.55%),298 cases of phlegm(17.72%)and 232 cases of qi stagnation(13.79%).The target positions of syndromes were mainly in liver, related to lung and gallbladder. In the combination of syndrome elements,single-factor syndrome accounted for 45.14%,double-factor syndrome for 42.96%,and three-factor syndrome for 11.91%.Conclusion:Excess heat, phlegm and qi stagnation are the more common syndrome elements of SAT.The disease location mainly involves liver, followed by lung. The excess heat of the single factor syndrome in clinical is common, followed by excess heat with qi stagnation and excess heat with phlegm.
