摘要
中医英译,应体现出中华民族“文化引领”的自信,并承担起弘扬传播中华文化的责任,由此探索的英译策略包括3个层面:(1)从文化精神层面,要体现天人合一、阴阳谐和的思想内核,以及取象比类、系统抽象的思维模式;(2)从概念原理层面,要从中医内涵推敲现行的中医英语术语,并区别中西医学术语的含义、避免误译;(3)从语言形式层面,应以中医的“神”构架英语的“形”,发挥公共英语和英语“显性表达”的优势,提高翻译质量。
The English translation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)can reflect the confidence of the Chinese"cultural guidance"and assume the responsibility of carrying forward and spreading Chinese culture.First,TCM core ideas and thinking mode is essential in English translation,such as holism,harmony,and thinking and methodology of TCM.Second,it is necessary to study the current English TCM terms from the perspective of TCM connotation,distinguish the meaning of Chinese and western medical terms,so as to express the science of TCM accurately.Third,flexible use of Chinese and English language characteristics for translation,give play to the advantages of public English and English"explicit expression"to improve the quality of translation.
